Dear Woodlands families,
It’s a pleasure to be the new principal of Woodlands Elementary School. I am Cathy Lambert, and I am thrilled to join the Woodlands community as a Wildcat. With 34 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to fostering student success and building strong relationships with students, parents, teachers and the wider community.
Previously, I served as principal at Midway Elementary School of the Arts for 6 years. I bring a passion for nurturing creativity and fostering a love for arts and academics in education. I believe in the power of a well-rounded education that encompasses academics, arts and community engagement. I am excited to collaborate with the exceptional staff and talented students at Woodlands Elementary to continue providing an enriching and supportive learning environment.
As the new principal, my primary goal is to ensure every student at Woodlands receives an outstanding education that prepares them for a bright future. I believe in the importance of individualized learning, recognizing that each child has unique strengths, interests, and learning styles. By fostering a safe and inclusive environment, we can empower our students to reach their full potential.
Building strong relationships with parents, teachers, and the community is also a top priority for me. I value open communication and collaboration, as I believe that together, we can create a positive and engaging school community. I encourage parents and community members to be actively involved in their children’s education, as your support is crucial to our students’ success.
I am truly excited to embark on this journey as the new principal of Woodlands Elementary. Together, let’s create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment where our students thrive academically, artistically and personally.
